CWA / AT&T 2017 “Orange” Contract Bargaining
May 18, 2017 – Bargaining Report #43
Since CWA notified AT&T that a strike was imminent without significant
movement at the bargaining table, the Company has rejected all of our
proposals for title upgrades and offered nothing that would get us to a deal.
The Union has continued to work toward a contract that would keep and
improve the jobs our members have at AT&T. The Company has offered
nothing but expensive benefits proposals, unfair absence plans, offensive
wage increases, and they have refused to bargain a fair commission plan
or any type of job security.
Tomorrow at 3 PM Eastern Time, CWA will be on strike against AT&T’s
corporate greed unless there is significant movement between now and
then. Stay in touch with your Local for additional details. We will walk out
with our heads held high and fight for the fair contract we deserve. This is
a historic moment for mobility workers covered by the Orange Contract.
CWA has a long history of fighting for good American jobs and tomorrow
the fight continues. The Bargaining Team thanks you for your support
throughout this process and we will continue bargaining after the strike for
as long as it takes to get a fair and equitable contract. When we fight we
WIN, One day longer, One day stronger!
Stay Strong Brothers and Sisters!!
