Good Afternoon Sisters & Brothers:

The focus of the National has changed pertaining to the work stoppage at Verizon.

The Local has been directed to shift all picket lines to the Verizon Wireless stores. This has shown to be a more effective tool in getting the attention of Verizon Communications. This strategy may also bring a potential early end to this strike.

This may be an inconvenience for some, but in order to achieve a fair contract, we must achieve it “BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY”.

Effective Monday, April 25, 2016

The following picket locations will be moved to, 1314 F Street N.W.

1200 H St. N.W.

1600 Barry Rd. S.E.

• First shift is 10:00am – 2:00pm Mon. – Sat.
• Second shift is 3:00pm – 7:00pm Mon. – Sat.

The following picket locations will be moved to, 1736 L Street N.W.

935 V St. N.E.

980 V St. N.E.

• First shift is 10:00am – 2:00pm Mon. – Sat.
• Second shift is 3:00pm – 7:00pm Mon. – Sat.
• Open shift is 12:00pm – 6:00pm (Need volunteers)

The Local may also add a third store, but we are not sure as of yet.

Please keep in mind that in order to bring the Company to the table and bargain in good faith, we need to have a major impact on their revenue and this is a way we can achieve that goal. We have to stand together in order to be successful.
